The 2021 Summer English Program at Tung Chung Catholic Primary School was a meaningful initiative that brought together 10 dedicated secondary school volunteer teachers to support 60 primary students throughout the summer holiday. Through interactive games, music, storytelling, and engaging English activities, the volunteers created a joyful and encouraging learning environment for the children.
The program not only helped improve the students’ confidence and interest in English, but also highlighted the compassion, leadership, and commitment of the secondary student volunteers. Their enthusiasm, patience, and willingness to serve reflected a strong spirit of community care and youth empowerment.
We are also deeply grateful to several supportive parents whose encouragement and assistance contributed greatly to the success of this initiative. Their involvement demonstrated the importance of collaboration between families, students, and the community in nurturing children’s growth and learning.
Since 2020, we've connected volunteer teachers with children across Hong Kong, offering free English lessons and activities that make learning fun and build genuine confidence.
